This week starts wild. There are good reasons for that, because VUCA has become RUPT. What´s behind this jumble of letters you´ll see in this newsletter. Plus some links to inspire you or surprise you. Have fun discovering and I wish you all a good start into this week.

#CrazyTimes

Talking to Rod Cartwright, one of the best issues & crisis consultant worldwide, about the craziness of our time. He introduced me to “RUPT”: “Today we can´t take the “normal” for granted. We live in times of "new abnormal". So it´s no more VUCA - volatility, uncertainty, complexity, ambiguity – which was already somehow crazy. And it´s not BANI – brittle, anxious, non-linear, incomprehensible. This was also tough. Today we live in a time of RUPT - rapid, unpredictable, paradoxical, tangle. Puh.

#LessIsMore

In such wild times, you should make things as easy as possible. That's why websites that work according to "less is more" are currently most successful. The more complex the world becomes, the more we appreciate when communication is made simple, or at least served simple. Here are 23 examples to inspire you.

#Imputation

The bookseller says, "A book is judged by its cover." At Apple, they call that "imputation." It's the principle to judge content from its packaging. This was just one reason for Steve Jobs putting so much emphasis on the design of his products. Ok, packaging matters - or at least be inspired by great packaging design. Reason enough to click through these 23 incredible packaging designs: This way.

#Learings from Coke

Graham Robertson gives us 6 lessons we can learn from this great brand – from storytelling to visual storytelling to purpose marketing to cultural branding. Coke was a pioneer in so many areas. #HiddenCats

Attention cat lovers. Here are some famous paintings with cats. Not always in the center of the picture and not always as the most important piece of art, but still somewhere - through all decades – cats are running through pictures. Can You Spot the Cat? Cats Hidden in Famous Paintings
